La creación del Black Players Coalition de MLS -en coincidencia con el día del día recordatorio del Juneteenth (que conmemora el día en el que se abolió la esclavitud en el estado de Texas)- generó una importante reacción de parte de jugadores y clubes de la liga norteamericana.
