    El portero de la selección de Egipto, Essam El Hadary, se convirtió en el futbolista más veterano en jugar una Copa del Mundo.

    Con sus 45 años y 161 días el guardameta egipcio, quien arrancó como titular en el juego de su selección ante Arabia Saudita, superó el récord que había establecido el colombiano Faryd Mondragón en Brasil 2014.

    En su debut mundialista Essam El Hadary ya tuvo la oportunidad de atajarle un penal a Arabia Saudita.
