El receptor abierto James Jones se retiró este miércoles tras una carrera de nueve años en la NFL, pasada principalmente con los Green Bay Packers.

Jones anunció su retiro en un video publicado en Twitter por los Packers. Jugó en 62 partidos en ocho temporadas en Lambeau Field, con 45 de sus 51 recepciones de touchdown con Green Bay.

Jones lideró la NFL con 14 anotaciones en 2012 mientras jugaba con los Packers. La campaña 2014 la jugó con los Oakland Raiders, única fuera de Wisconsin.
El jugador de 33 años dijo que fue una bendición jugar en Green Bay, y que estaba orgulloso de las oportunidades que tuvo con el equipo. Packers lo seleccionaron en la tercera ronda del Draft 2007.
