Otro tackle izquierdo de calibre de Pro Bowl se está retirando. Ryan Clady anunció el martes su adiós a la NFL tras 10 temporadas como profesional.

Clady pasó ocho años con los Denver Broncos después de ser tomado N° 12 global en 2008. El veterano de 30 años pasó 2016 con los New York Jets, terminando la campaña en la lista de reservas lesionados con un problema en el hombro.

Clady fue la mejor opción de tackle izquierdo entre los veteranso en el mercado de agentes libres cuando se retiró. El miembro de NFL Network, Ian Rapoport, informó que Clady tenía interés en esta temporada baja, incluyendo a los Detroit Lions necesitados del tackle izquierdo. El veterano también habría visitado a los Seattle Seahawks.

Clady fue un titular inmediato en la posición de tackle izquierdo en Denver como novato, permitiendo sólo media captura en su primera temporada. El cuatro veces llamado al Pro Bowl y dos veces primer equipo All Pro fue uno de los mejores tackles izquierdos en la NFL a principios de su carrera.

El final de la carrera de Clady se caracterizó por lesiones, sin embargo. En 2013, jugó sólo dos partidos antes de caer con una lesión de Lisfranc. Se perdió todo el año 2015 con una lesión en el LCA. La temporada pasada en los Jets de Nueva York, jugó sólo nueve partidos antes de ser archivado.
